Browse YouTube and you can find endless channels on how to improve your life. How to exercise better. How to eat better. How to love others better. How to love yourself better. How is what I do any different?

If you listen to what many life coaches talk about, it heavily focuses on motivation, inspiration, and encouragement. Those can all be good and useful things in life. My intention is not to criticize the work of life coaches. Instead, I want to contribute something new and different to your tool belt for life. Rather than focusing on individual, isolated goals, I want to give you techniques that can help you integrate your whole life.

I Will Help You Integrate Your Life

What does it mean to live an “integrated” life? To put it simply, it means you have achieved a harmony of your values and goals. It means that your values fit together. It means you do not hold some values that are opposed to other values you hold. It means your goals likewise fit in with your values and that your goals also do not oppose any of your values or even oppose other goals. Finally, it means your goals and values agree with your situation in life and those things in your life that are not under your control.

So what do I mean by all this talk of harmony, fitting together, opposition, and agreement? Most people do not realize how interconnected their thinking is. There is a connection between your dating or romantic life and how you manage your personal finances. There is a connection between your diet and how you drive your car. And there is a connection between how you drive your car and your romantic life. This may all sound ridiculous. It would never cross most people’s minds that these things could be related. But by thinking about your thinking, clarity will begin to emerge. Once you have clarity about where your connections, disconnections, and misconnections are, you can begin to make corrections and that is when you will flourish.

I Am A Thinker, Not A Cheerleader

Giving you motivation is the one thing I cannot do. I am not here to pump you up. If anything I want you to slow down and quiet down. I want you to look before you leap. I want you to regularly reflect on your own mind. If you tell me your goals and they are in opposition to your situation in life, I will tell you that you need to alter your goals. But what I can do is help you identify goals that will integrate into your life.

When your thinking is right and your actions are consistent with that thinking, your opportunity for success will drastically increase. But success is not guaranteed. It still requires action on your part. But when you are thinking clearly, taking action and achieving goals is much easier.
